Distinguished Delegates:
It is with great pride that we invite you to the second annual Kellenberg Model United Nations Conference, the goal of which is to foster thought and debate amongst delegates of differing experience levels. We hope to enrich the Model UN experience of veteran delegates and to introduce new delegates to international diplomacy.
The conference will be held on January 25, 2019 on our campus located at 1400 Glenn Curtiss Blvd. in Uniondale. Registration is now open on our website (https://kmunc.weebly.com/register.html). Each school is invited to send up to fifteen delegates from grades 9-12, and, based on the order in which they registered, schools will be notified after December 20th if more spots are available. Those who register on or before December 15th will be offered a discounted price of $25 per delegate, which covers food and delegate materials. Registration between December 21st and January 15th will be $35 per delegate. Both options will include a delegation fee of $30.
At this time, KMUNC II will be offering a Historical Crisis, Social, Humanitarian, and Cultural (SOCHUM) Committee, World Health Organization (WHO) Committee, and a European Union (EU) Committee. SOCHUM and WHO will be run as regular General Assembly Committees for veteran delegates, while the EU will act as an instructional General Assembly Committee for delegates with little to no experience.
As Secretary-General and Directors-General, we are excited to meet you and listen your ideas for addressing world issues. If there are any questions regarding our conference please feel free to email us @ [email protected].
We look forward to hearing from you and to meeting you in January!
Sincerely,
Kaitlin Long, Secretary-General
Charles Mandraccia, Director-General
Benjamin Truncale, Director-General
